About First Baptist Christian Academy
The Philosophy of First Baptist Christian Academy is founded upon the word of God, submitted to scriptural institutions, and pursuant of academic excellence. The word of God teaches that the training of children is the responsibility of the parents. FBCA pursues academic excellence through training of children in support of the parental responsibility of teaching and in submission to the authority of God’s Word.
Core Values
Gospel-Centered
The Gospel is the Good News that Jesus Christ lived the life we could not live, died the death that we deserved to die, was buried and rose again from the dead. Gospel-centered means that we believe the gospel is the means whereby God grants eternal life to sinners and the means whereby He continues to conform His children into the image of Jesus Christ.
Bible-Based
The Bible is the Word of God and is the fundamental rule of all matters of faith and practice. To be Bible-based is to trust that the scriptures is the special revelation of the one, true God and that the scriptures provide the worldview through which all Christians are to see and live life. To be Bible-based also considers that the Bible is to be interpreted redemptively considering the gospel-centered core value.
Prayer-Dependent
Prayer is the distinct privilege of every believer in Jesus Christ, and this is the means whereby anxiousness is defeated and thankfulness, requests, and supplications are made known to God through the Intercessors of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. To be prayer-dependent means that the Christian is actively practicing the regular discipline of prayer and trusting in the providence of the Lord for His will to be accomplished by His power.
